Project Description
This stunning 235 m2 4 bedroom home in Hastings, East Sussex combines sustainability with functionality to provide a secure well rounded family home. Our client Mark, wanted to project manage the build himself which meant that his involvement was crucial to the build having arranged a number of additional trades to work alongside TFI.
TFI provided a full build schedule in the first instance and our erecting team took over the project after the groundworks stage and all service works were completed by TFI up to DPC stage.
We provided a fully water-tight insulated timber frame super structure that included a bespoke steel entrance bridge, fitted windows, doors and roof lights, Insulation to the Falzinc double standing seam roof structure to achieve a U-Value of 0.09 and 0.18 on the external walls Falzinc double standing, Lindab guttering all round and finally a visually beautiful Accoya timber decking to the balcony and bridge.

After a five month delay in starting due to ground issues which delayed completion of the foundations, TFI began putting up the frame in what can only be described as pretty soggy winter conditions, but this did not deter them from making progress as planned, even wearing goggles on occasion to enable them to see in torrential rain!
From the outset, we were confident we had chosen the right build partner for the frame. TFI regularly kept us informed of progress and all of the team were polite, considerate and friendly. Whenever we had questions, they were very happy to answer them and take on board our views. We set out with the intent of not changing the design during the build and I am confident that this helped ensure the success of the project. We genuinely felt that TFI cared about our project and wanted to ensure we would be delighted with the finished result.
